Responsible Business Forum on Climate Innovation 2019

BUILDING A ZERO-CARBON, CLIMATE-RESILIENT FUTURE
The adoption of the Paris Climate Agreement calls for an unprecedented effort to reduce man-made greenhouse gas emissions based on nationally determined contributions and provides a roadmap for global transformation towards a zero-carbon, climate-resilient future. To deliver on this, all stakeholders must come together to accelerate and scale innovation and climate action.

The Responsible Business Forum on Climate Innovation will bring together more than 450 leaders from companies, start-ups, investors and international agencies, to share and discuss zero-carbon and circular economy solutions for a sustainable and climate-resilient future.

The global food and beverage system is responsible for a third of human-made carbon emissions. From fertiliser production to farming to packaging and retail, the food supply chain represents one of the greatest opportunities to reduce human impacts on the climate. It is also one of the most heavily exposed sectors, as changing weather patterns and ecosystem destruction on land and at sea impact our ability to produce, process and distribute food. Societies need to find new ways to provide adequate nutrition for a growing population, adapt existing systems to meet the challenges of a changing climate.
