Several factors play a role in the success of a company that are beyond the scope of financial statements alone. Organisational culture, management philosophy and ethics in business each have an impact on how well a business performs in the long term. No matter the size, industry or level of profitability of an organisation, business ethics are one of the most important aspects of long-term success.
However, managers often find themselves trapped in situations where short-term profitability conflicts with long-term sustainability of business. What can be the results of unethical business decisions? What should responsible business leaders do in situations like this?
As part of the sustainability speech series we have developed to bring in external experts to speak at leading Chinese universities, this event is focused on helping the students understand how community problems can be solved through innovation in China. The event will have 2-3 panelist in total who speak for 20-25 minutes and then Q&A.
