BASF Creator Space Creatathon - Collective Responsibility

As part of BASF’s 150th anniversary program in Shanghai, BASF will host a transportation-focused creatathon aiming to improve the awareness of carbon footprints of urban transportation among the public. The event belongs to a wider series of all-inclusive co-creation activities worldwide to reach out to our customers, suppliers, employees, science communities and relevant public.

BASF’S CREATATHON

Held on March 25 and 26, the event will engage six university teams in a 24-hour Creatathon, to create an APP-based solution that would help urban residents make better transport decisions.

The participating teams will be able to engage with speakers and mentors from IBM, BMW, AUDI, McKinsey, Tongji University and Clean Air Asia. The public and private sector leaders will provide one-on-one support to each team throughout the process from ideas to prototypes.

Supported and activated through a series of presentations, workshops and mentoring, participants will ultimately present their proposals in front of senior industry executives, who will assess the commercial viability of each project and recommend one project for BASF leadership to take forward.

The participating students will bring the theories from classrooms to reality, and enrich their vision of sustainable transportation. At the same time, the expert panelists will be able to tap on fresh ideas from the younger generation.
