While the challenges and environmental costs of our food and agricultural systems are becoming understood by the mass market, and concerns over food security, affordability, and safety are at their peak, the opportunities entrepreneurs and innovators to deliver innovations in product and process are growing by the day.

To help participants better understand the megatrends and business models for the future of food, participants will hear from some of Asia’s leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors on their work to develop and deliver a more sustainable food system through better policy, products, and investments.

As an entrepreneur, Jenny has a strong personal commitment to contribute to a more sustainable world. She joined Green Monday with the urge to make social changes globally and has co-created Green Common where she curated the unique plant-based product selection, bringing in many of the leading and innovative plant based brands to Hong Kong. She is a founding member of Right{treat}, the latest venture of Green Monday, where the pioneering omnipork is created to revolutionize the Asian market. Jenny has many years of brand consultancy and advertising experience, spanning from consumer marketing industries including FMCG to property and technology sector. Her expertise lies in her strategic planning and insight in business process management. She has managed to grow and sell her family buying office based in Hong Kong to Lidl Germany, one of the largest retailers globally.

APAC at The Good Food Institute

Elaine is the Managing Director, Asia Pacific at The Good Food Institute (GFI). GFI works with scientists, policymakers, corporates, investors, and entrepreneurs to accelerate growth of the plant-based and cell-based protein alternatives industries. Its operation has expanded from the US to Brazil, Israel, and India, and Elaine is currently establishing GFI’s work in the Asia Pacific region. Elaine is a lawyer-turned-social-entrepreneur with over 10 years experience in corporate and finance law, from IPO and M&A to structured products and investment funds.

Eric is an entrepreneur passionate about cities and how new technologies change the way we live in it. He has been trained as a systems thinking economist, an empathetic product experience strategist, and a rigorously detailed financial analyst.
Eric is experienced as a multidisciplinary team leader with fluency in location intelligence, agrifood technologies, financial technologies, design innovation, and venture capital.
