THE HACKATHON
BSH (Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group) will be hosting a 36-hour hackathon on the connected home refrigerator. Open to six university teams, the goal of the teams will be to create commercially applicable software or hardware solutions that will connect the refrigerator with the user, home and environment.
Participants will be supported and activated through a series of presentations, and a group of team mentors, and will ultimately present their proposals in front of senior industry executives, who will assess the commercial viability of each project and recommend one for BSH leadership to take forward.
KEYNOTES AND MENTORSHIP
As part of this event, teams will be able to engage with speakers and mentors from public and private sector leaders to provide one-on-one support to each team throughout the competition.
REWARDS AND PRIZES
Participants will ultimately present their proposals in front of senior industry experts. The best-performing teams will win Kindle and Xiaomi devices, an exclusive briefing with senior executives from BSH and may be eligible to interview for opportunities for 2016 internships with BSH China!
