Rose is the Sustainability Consultant at Collective Responsibility. She develops research on emerging sustainability issues and trends in the China market that helps stakeholders anticipate and respond to change. Rose is focused on labor, migration, urbanization, and waste management. She has experience in the nonprofit and social enterprises sectors in the UK, China and Jordan.
Rose first came to China in 2007, when she spent a year working for a nonprofit in rural Gansu. Since then, she has set up projects focused on China’s migrant population and rural EdTech in 10 provinces. She has a passion for field research and social impact projects.
Rose holds an MA in Translation from SOAS, the University of London and a BA in Chinese Studies from the University of Edinburgh. She is a member of the International Society for Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and an online volunteer for UNDP.
Rose speaks and reads Chinese at a professional level.
