[Executive Luncheon] A Diverse Workplace: Hiring Employees with Disabilities in China

While a quota system for hiring people with disabilities has been in place for more than a decade, most firms historically chose to pay the fines every year rather than see the opportunities for developing hiring programs.  However, with the recent fine increasing, it is high time for companies to understand more about the current situation of people of disabilities in China and learn more developing hiring and training programs catered to this talent pool.

A talent pool that may appear limited to some, but through this session, we hope to help support participants answer some basic questions, inspire thought about first steps, and create a support network for those who are looking to start (or scale) their own programs.

To support the goals of this event, speakers will talk about the opportunities of developing programs aimed to attract, train, retain, and promote those that others see as limited.

Specifically, we will address the following questions:

  • What is the current situation of people with disabilities in China?
  • How can companies hire people with disabilities in China?
  • What  is the change in the regulation on the quota system and what does it mean for private companies
  • What is the existing technology to help people with disabilities at workplace?
